Set in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, Wold View Fisheries is in the centre of everywhere and the middle of nowhere. The rolling hills of the Wolds dip and swoop as you drive towards us. Dropping off the top of the wolds into an almost secret and forgotten valley are a group of established fishing lakes. These lakes are nestled amongst a range of native trees. With the hills of the wolds rising majestically all around it’s hard not to feel relaxed and secure. The size of the fishing lakes is always unexpected some of them quite large expanses of calm water. There are countless places to fish from with pegs around each lake. Some of the spots are open and some more secluded. A series of bridges provides access to islands and there is a canal lake too. It’s a fantastic spot for fishing.

Notes

The only rules we have are to ensure fish safety and to ensure anglers enjoy their time with us. Pleasure fishing pegs are always available but please check before starting to fish that the lake is not in use for a match. Please help us by reading the rules carefully. No braided lines or hook lengths. No keepnets to be used when pleasure fishing. In matches a minimum of 2 keepnets must be used – Fish must be spilt equally between the nets. All feeders and bombs must be free running – no elasticated method feeders. No dog/cat meat or meat balls. No floating baits. All fish to be returned to lake after the match. All litter including tins to be removed from the grounds of the fishery. Match anglers must lay out nets to dry and only put in the water 10 minutes before the start of the match. Only 1 rod to be used (Unless fishing Bronze where 2 may be used) When weighing in do not roll fish down the net. Thank you for respecting the health of our fish. Just For Fun!

Check your performance in this 'Just For Fun' season of the tournament. We have paused ticket sales this season while we make some major backend enhancements to cope with the scale of anglers involved and make way for a mega Winter Season. With fewer Majors in Autumn all matches will fit into either the Open Matches or the Club Matches category. Your best 10 results over the 13-week season will be used to determine the UK's top anglers!

During the Summer season we had an amazing engagement from 7,468 unique anglers involved. We gave away over £10,000 in prizes and hosted a dedicated YouTube show, The Weigh-In , that followed the results of the anglers and matches in the tournament.

During the Spring season we had an impressive engagement of 6,883 unique anglers. We introduced new ways to view and segment the results, and we also added a separate junior competition to highlight the promising young talent in the sport.
