General Tournament Rules
We compile all angler match results into the Weekly Tournaments giving them a chance to win cash prizes. All anglers are
included if the match was scored on Hot Fishin' and they can choose to then pay in to any Tournament to win prizes.
The top 3 positions for each Tournament win a percentage of the total entry prize pot. If more than one angler comes equal
first then the next angler comes third, and similarly if two anglers come second then there is no third position. The remaining
pot is distributed to the rest of top contestants (best of rest) in equal prizes each week, offering many opportunities to win.
Anglers require one credit for any individual match to be entered into a Tournament. Anglers can enter as many individual
match results from the week as they wish, but each will require a separate credit. So entering two matches to the same Weekly
Tournament would require two credits, etc.
The balance of your winnings will be paid on request in the 'Your Winnings' section your Hot Fishin' angler account.
The Details
- All anglers added to a match scored via the Hot Fishin' platform will appear in results tables as 'competitors'.
To participate in winning prizes, anglers must first create a free angler account and buy some Weekly Tournament credits,
then use one credit to nominate any individual match to be entered into any of this week's tournaments. Once the match
starts The angler changes from just a 'competitor' to a 'contestant', i.e. eligible for cash prizes!
- Anglers can enter as many matches as they like into a weekly tournament using one credit per match, so a single angler
may be a contestant in a weekly tournmant more than once - one credit per match entry.
- Nominating matches to be entered into a weekly tournament can be done manually selecting each before the match starts;
or automatically by nominating the type of weekly tournament into which you want your matches entered. In both cases your
match will only be entered if an unused credit is available at the start time of the match. You may top-up your tournament
credits at any time before the match start.
- As soon as a match has started the nominated credits from all anglers will be assigned to that tournament - as long as
all entry rules have been met. Ruls not being met includes things like there not being enough contestants to run the
tournament, there not being enough starting competitors in the match of the angler, etc.
- Once a nominated credited has been assigned to a tournament it cannot be revoked. At this point the credits of all
contestants are accumulated and the prizes calculated.
- The only exception to this is if an organiser either changes the start time of a match or even deletes it. In this
case all the credits for that match are revoked and returned to those contestants. As this reduces the overall pot and
therefore prizes organisers should do this only in dire circumstances - it looses your anglers the opertunity to compete
in that tournmaent and will annoy other contestants
- Winnings are found in Weekly Tournaments / Your Winnings section of angler accounts. Within there the angler may
'cash in' the winnings for any single tournament, or the accoumulated balance of all winnings so far.
- Unless specifically opted-out by the organiser all match results are included in the Weekly Tournaments.
- After the match the organiser is responsible for accurately recording and once checked then finalizing the results.
Finalizing a match should only be done once the match has been published for at least a week to give all competitors a
chance to ensure that thier results are correct. After a match is finalized it can no longer be altered.
- The deadline date of each tournament is calculated in a similar way to any published match, i.e. midnight 3 weeks after
the Sunday following the match start date. This is an amplr period for all organisers to record, publish, verify and
finalize their match results.
- Any match that has not been finalized before the deadline will be automatically finalized by our system and the
match results will be assumed to be correct - although any errors in the results will still be the rsponsibility of
that organiser.
Club Match Hourly Bagger Rules
- The competitors from all Hot Fishin' matches will appear in this Weeklies tournament (unless specifically suppressed by the organiser)
- Competitors eligible for prizes are called contestants. To be a contestant the angler:
- must nominate the match results for the tournament before the match start time
- must have a valid £5 tournament credit available at the start time of the nominated match. A single credit allows the angler to nominate the match results only once per tournament - no duplicate entries of the same results is allowed
- Credits will be committed to the tournament at the start time of the match as long as these minimum criteria are met:
- The duration of the match must be at least 3 hours long
- Unless the tourament starts with at least 50 contestants it will be considered 'just for fun'; and no credits will be committed
- Attendance must be for the full duration of a match. If an angler is a 'no show' or leaves early then those match results will not be included in the tournament. Any committed credit is forfeited i.e. it cannot be cancelled and is still used for the contestant pot and prize calculations
- It is the responsibility of organisers to ensure match results are recorded accurately and completely before the deadline of the tournament. Any committed credits cannot be cancelled if the organiser fails in this responsibility
